Lately

One month of college down. Things are going at a steady clip and I’ve got a routine with just the right amount of busy. Life is good.

The first round of midterms ended for me early last week. I hope my confidence was because of overstudying and not the half of a half dozen cups of French roast I had that morning.

I’m learning new stuff every day at my job in the lab. Right now, I’m helping out with a project that’s looking at the epigenetics behind addiction.

I just got my first paycheck last week, and the first thing I spent it on was taxi fare to see Plume Giant at The Fire just north of Center City, Philadelphia. I’ve known one of their vocalist/guitarist/harmoniumists for a long time and it was nice to catch up, listen to some good music, and reward myself for a midterm week done hopefully well.

The premiere of the 7th and final season of 30 Rock was also part of that reward.

But also recently, I got accepted as contributor to Under the Button, Penn‘s hilarious university “news, gossip, and entertainment” blog. Part of my application was this post, in case you were wondering what that was all about. I love working with these awesome human beings.

Other than that, I’ve been doing a little frisbee, a little badminton, a little jogging around Penn Park, and plenty of procrastinatory YouTube and blogging lately.

Life is good.
