Welcome to ishmam.com, formerly known as the mouthful that was ishmam.wordpress.com.

The rumors are true. I’ve “upgraded.”

But why? Too cool for that “.wordpress” business?

Well, actually, yeah.

The switch was well-worth the manageable price (which I’ll let you discover for yourself). But seriously.

Why?

Part of it was me being an egotistical young adult male. I need complete possession. None of this “.wordpress” hitchhiking on the end of my name.

Another part of it was an effort to make my blog more personal and professional. Although it might be a little too late for professionalism with all my dorky, quirky, and useless posts, hopefully I can turn Ishmam’s Two Cents into something more sophisticated in the future. A site for writing samples? my resume? my art? my travels? my life? Definitely something along those lines.

In all honesty, I’ve devoted a lot of spare time to blogging. And I envision it as something I’ll do regularly well into the future. After all, this blog is like a journal; it’ll be interesting to see how it develops as I age.

Seeing as I’ll be sticking around for a while, I took the opportunity to make my Two Cents more…mine.

So basically, it boils down to me being an egotistical young adult male.
